Two years ago, Patty Smith noticed that she was forgetting things, that she often "glazed over."

She went to her doctor and received a life-altering diagnosis of Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease. In this short radio spot, Patty relates how she's learning to cope.

She had to quit her job, but she's become a traveling spokesperson for the Alzheimer's Association. And she's learned new daily coping strategies, like oil painting.
