The Legacy of the Baby Boom Generation
Tom Brokaw outlined the virtues and values of the generation that defended America in World War II in his celebrated book The Greatest Generation. Now professor Leonard Steinhorn makes the decidedly less-popular claim that it's really the Baby Boomers, perhaps best known for their materialism, who have actually come to represent America's "greater generation." While Boomers undoubtedly re-shaped our cultural landscape, Steinhorn asserts that America's monumental shifts toward equal rights and social responsibility are the direct result of his generation's ingenuity and resolve.
Steinhorn talks with host Mike Cuthbert about his new book, The Greater Generation: In Defense of the Baby Boom Legacy.
