Pet Pals Photo Gallery Rules
OFFICIAL RULES
1. Am I Eligible To Participate?
Subject to the additional restrictions below, the AARP “Pet Pals” Photo Gallery (the “Gallery”), sponsored by AARP, Services, Inc (“ASI”) is open to anyone eighteen years of age or older at the time of submission.
2. How Do I Submit? To submit a photo, send an email with your name, mailing address (including street address, city, state and zip code) and pet’s name to (address removed) and attach a digital photograph of your pet to the email message. Digital photographs must be in .jpg, .jpeg, or .gif format and no larger than 500 kilobytes (500 KB) in size. The photograph you submit must be an original photograph for which you own the copyright or have secured the right to distribute without restriction. Photographs may only include pets and may not include images of identifiable people. ASI does not guarantee owner of photos will be contacted in event the photos are posted. ASI will not consider photos that are alleged to infringe on any third party’s intellectual property rights, or that ASI, in its sole discretion deems obscene, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate for viewing by a general audience. By submitting a photograph, you agree to be bound by all of the terms and conditions of these Pet Pals Photo Gallery Rules, including the grant of rights set forth in Paragraph 4, below; if you do not agree with these terms and conditions, do not submit a photograph. By submitting a photo you further represent that you are the owner of the photo and that ASI’s use of the photograph will not infringe on the rights of any other party.
3. How Will Posted Submissions Be Selected?
Posted submissions will be selected from any of the photos submitted at any time since the beginning of the Gallery, September 14, 2006. Submissions will be selected by ASI on the basis of creativity, composition, backstory of subject and photo quality. No prizes will be awarded to owners. ASI reserves the right to post as many or as few photos as deemed necessary per given day. Each posted submission will have his or her photograph displayed online at www.aarp.org/fun.
4. How Will Your Photograph be Used?
If your pet photo is selected, ASI will post your photograph to the www.aarp.org/fun website. Accordingly, by submitting a photograph in the Contest, you acknowledge and agree that ASI shall have the right (without limitation or compensation to you) to edit, adapt, modify, reproduce, publish, promote, display and otherwise use your entry in any way it sees fit, including the right to publish your entry online and in print, as described herein.
