The objective of a vehicle walk around is to observe whether the driver has any difficulties getting in or out of the vehicle, walking around it for the necessary tasks of checking tire pressure or adding fuel, or possibly added demands of stowing any devices such as canes or walkers.
And this walk around may prompt a gentle conversation about any dents and scratches.
