My Generation
It’s no surprise that John Leguizamo was voted “most talkative” by his classmates in high school. Fans of the Colombian-born actor/comedian know that not much has changed. The hip grinding, speed talking, high energy performer has been making audiences laugh, cry and cringe for over 25 years. He’s acted in over 100 movies and TV shows, produced more than 10 movies and has even written a book chronicling his life in the entertainment business. But in his most recent and personal endeavor, he’s bringing his larger-than-life personality to the stage.

In February of 2011, Leguizamo’s one-person show Ghetto Klown opened on Broadway. As his 5th solo and 3rd autobiographical show, the performance is raw and truthful. In addition to reliving his beginnings as a struggling actor in New York followed by his success in Hollywood, Leguizamo also delves deep into the pain and family feuds experienced along his journey. Namely, the troubled relationship he had with his father as a young artist.
My Generation’s Gaby Goddard reveals the family man behind this multifaceted entertainer.
