Women’s Leadership Circle
The Women's Leadership Circle (WLC) is a network of volunteer leaders, women of affluence and influence, who support the AARP Foundation in achieving its mission and goals: specifically, to create, enhance and protect opportunities and foster security for those at risk of having insufficient resources in the second half of life.
Women Serving Women in Need
The WLC strives to serve women in need: specifically, those in poverty or at risk of falling into poverty, communities of color, and the most vulnerable including those living alone.
PurposeThe WLC uses its collective voice and influence to affect positive social change through personal action, community involvement and philanthropy.

In 2010...
The WLC will support and advocate for the AARP Foundation Women’s Scholarship Program: serving 100 women, ages 40+, get the skills, training and education needed to re-enter the workforce or obtain better employment so that they will be more financially secure in the second half of life.
