Our 50th Anniversary will celebrate with some of the music industry's most illustrious stars--we're bringing you music and entertainment with divas like Dionne Warwick and Chaka Khan to classic rockers like Foreigner and Chicago to jazz legend Ramsey Lewis and GRAMMY nominated newcomer Kurt Elling.

Legends of Jazz Tour

AARP brings you master jazz pianist and three-time Grammy winner Ramsey Lewis in a 10-city tour with Grammy winning saxophonist  and clarinetist Paquito D’Rivera, Grammy nominated singer Kurt Elling and the smooth jazz quartet Fourplay.

The highly-acclaimed PBS television series “Legends of Jazz with Ramsey Lewis” now hits the stage live with the same sizzling jazz and incredible performances that made the TV show so popular.  Ramsey Lewis will perform and host each concert which will feature the best in traditional, Latin and contemporary jazz.

Foreigner Feels Like the First Time Tour

AARP presents the classic rock band Foreigner, in a 15-city tour which begins in April 2008.  The band---led by its founder, chief songwriter and legendary guitarist Mick Jones---will draw from its repertoire of top hits, I Want to Know What Love Is, Cold as Ice, Double Vision, Hot Blooded, Urgent, and Waiting For a Girl Like You.  Foreigner is one of the greatest classic rock bands and continue to be hot on the concert scene, playing to multi-generational crowds in concert halls, arenas and college venues.

Songs of Soul and Inspiration

Join some of the greatest female gospel, soul and rhythm & blues singers of our time on June 21, 2008 at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta.  Our concert stars include:
Yolanda Adams, Patti Austin, Shirley Caesar, Jamia, Chaka Khan, Queen Latifah, Dionne Warwick, CeCe Winans and Ann Nesby appearing with Paris Bennett.

Renowned choreographer Debbie Allen (hot off her successful Broadway presentation of Cat On a Hot Tin Roof) directs the program, which tells the story of how these soulful superstars began singing in church choirs before taking their music to the world down in their own distinctive styles.
