Walktober returns for a second exciting year, showcasing the Providence’s walkability and celebrating walking through special events across the Capital City. Registration will open soon for an October 6 Providence Drum Troupe dance party and an October 8 walk audit training workshop. Through neighborhood walks and hands-on activities, participants will turn observation and fun into action, helping make Providence more pedestrian-friendly while exploring the city, meeting neighbors and strengthening community connections.

Bike Newport Full Moon Ride

October 26

Last call! AARP Rhode Island sponsors one of the Ocean State’s most beautiful rides and fall is a most beautiful cycling time of year. It’s the final chance this season to pedal into the moonlit night on a scenic 15-mile ride from downtown Newport to Fort Adams, around the Ocean Drive Loop and along the mansions of Bellevue.
