Winifred V. Quinn, MA, Ph.D.

Dr. Winifred V. Quinn is the Director of Legislation and Field Operations for the Center to Champion Nursing in America (CCNA). She oversees the translation of CCNA's nursing policy research into public policy recommendations and works with AARP's Government Affairs division for progressive policy changes so that healthcare consumers have a highly skilled nurse when and where they need one.

Dr. Quinn also oversees the field operations of CCNA, which helps state-based teams across the nation implement the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action which was created in response to the historic 2010 IOM report, "The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health." This campaign works to ensure that nursing leaders are appointed to decision making bodies concerned with the delivery of health care; that a majority of RNs attain higher levels of education to help build a future nursing faculty and advanced health care workforce; that all RNs work to the full extent of their education and credentials; that nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals create more interprofessional training and practice opportunities; and that there is data to support all of these efforts.
