Julia Alexis

Ms. Alexis oversees the development and management of the AARP Public Policy Institute's strategic programs and campaigns as Vice President of its Office of Strategic Initiatives. With a diverse background in business development, marketing and management, Ms. Alexis' experience spans a variety of industries; most notably in health care. In addition to her work as a senior executive in the health care delivery system, where she built physician practice groups, managed a major Medicare demonstration project and developed new clinical services, Ms. Alexis has worked with large insurers, pharmaceutical companies and health care advocates focused on consumer health programs. 

Prior to joining PPI, Ms. Alexis served as Vice President, Health Initiatives for AARP Services Inc. where she developed the AARP Health Care Options product portfolio, managed service providers and million dollar budgets, and launched new products and initiatives.

In her current role, Ms. Alexis develops programs that support AARP's strategic efforts, working closely with major foundations, external entities and coalitions. She integrates and manages projects that cut across all the key focus areas of PPI, working closely with her colleagues and their teams.
