Cherri S. Thompson, AA

Cherri S. Thompson is an administrative associate directly supporting the Consumer and State Affairs and Economic Teams. Cherri performs primarily in an administrative and programming capacity, coordinating the team's internal and external schedules and departmental events and publication launches, and works alongside the project administrator for Strategic Initiatives. Cherri has represented AARP at external events including conferences, and generally serves as the first point of contact for the Consumer and State Affairs and Economic staff, internal and external clients.

Prior to AARP, Cherri served at Reznick Group, where she prepared monthly occupancy reports for HUD, assisted with the preparation of proposals, tax returns and financial statements. She also worked at Nielsen Media Research, where she played a key role in the daily operations by organizing community outreach events to promote the Nielsen brand.

Cherri is active in her community. Outside professional interests, she travels, reads, and enjoys listening to music and spending time with her family and close friends.

Areas of Expertise

Experienced in administration, meeting and event planning, financial billing, travel management, desktop publishing and graphics, and troubleshooting of technical issues and equipment, e.g. copiers and audio visual equipment.
