- Workplace Culture/Continued Opportunities: These learning and development programs are offered to full- and part-time employees who work 20+ hours per week: tuition reimbursement, in-house classroom training, on-line training, and certification classes. The Johnson Learning Institute (JLI) offers numerous opportunities for employees to succeed on the job and enhance their careers by offering courses such as Project Leadership, New Manager Development, Leadership Performance, Diversity training, Change Management, Performance Management, Marketing Excellence, Sales Excellence, and Finance Excellence. In addition, the "link" program promotes lifelong learning for all employees and retirees by offering courses through the Gateway Technical College. Employees can complete a course, a certificate, or an Associate Degree program on site. A formal mentoring program gives employees networking opportunities, coaching, and guidance on career development.
- Benefits/Health: Full- and part-time employees (working 20+ hrs/week) receive individual and family medical coverage, individual and family prescription drug coverage, individual and family vision and dental insurance, individual and family long-term care insurance, as well as short- and long-term disability, EAP services and life insurance. SC Johnson also offers dollars for health care premiums and HSAs and an FSA accounts to assist employees with out-of-pocket healthcare costs. Health benefits for retirees pre-65 and 65+ include individual as well as spouse medical and drug coverage, dental and vision insurance, long-term care insurance, EAP services, as well as life insurance or other death benefit coverage. The company’s JMBA Center, a recreation and fitness facility, is available for employees, retirees and their families to stay fit and connected. The Retiree Activity Program, supervised by the Corporate Recreation and Fitness department at JMBA, sponsors retiree activities such as Casino Day, Games Day, Plays/Musicals/Theater Performances, Retiree Work/Fun Week at Lighthouse Resort, and numerous others.
