2011 Idaho Survey of Registered Voters Age 50 and Older about Utilities

The Idaho utilities telephone survey examines the opinions of 50+ residents on their experiences with their utilities including electricity, heating, and gas. According to the survey, 50+ residents are concerned about the costs of heating their home going up. Further, the majority finds paying their electric and gas bills difficult (48% find it extremely difficult, 28% find it very difficult), and most believe their elected officials are not doing enough to help with these increasing costs. Many support establishing a consumer advocate office (40% strongly support, 28% somewhat support).

Precision Research Inc. conducted this survey January 25 to February 2, 2012, and completed a total of 1,001 interviews of registered voters in Idaho age 50+. For more information on this survey, please contact Cassandra Burton at 202-434-3547.
