Conference Preview

Join leading policy experts at the Health in Foreign Policy Forum to discuss the shared challenges of the fields of health policy and foreign policy. While domestic health policy and foreign policy experts have traditionally had little interaction, in the last decade globalization has widened the nexus between these two fields. More and more health policy challenges stretch across borders, and even powerful nations like the U.S. have found that they can no longer ensure the health of their citizens through national policies alone.

The Forum will examine: Global commerce and health; disease and national security; and international development and public health preparedness.

Who should attend:

  • Health policymakers (federal, state and private);
  • Health policy analysts;
  • Foreign policymakers;
  • Trade representatives;
  • Health economists; and
  • International health officials.
