Wings Over the Rockies

Enjoy a free day with AARP Colorado at Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum on Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The museum is at the Historic Lowry Air Force Base Hangar No. 1 near Quebec and Alameda, 7711 E. Academy Blvd. in Denver. AARP members must present their cards at the admissions desk to gain entrance. Normal admission prices apply to friends and family of AARP members.

Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble

AARP members are entitled to a discounted holiday performance of Granny Dances to a Holiday Drum, a spirited celebration of holiday dance traditions from around the world. Performed by the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble, AARP members will be able to purchase tickets for $15, instead of the non-discounted senior price of $35 for this performance. The reduced rate is available for two shows only at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 7 and 2 p.m. on Dec. 8 at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts, 2344 E. Iliff Ave. in Denver. Tickets may be purchased by calling 303-871-7720, or online at www.newmantix.com and using the code: “CLEO2012” to get the discount.

Su Teatro

AARP Colorado invites its members to a special performance of Su Teatro’s play, The Miracle of Tepeyac on Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. at Su Teatro – Denver Civic Theater, 721 Santa Fe Drive in Denver. Admission is free to AARP members, but a $3 per-ticket donation is requested to support the theater’s afterschool program. Tickets may be picked up by presenting your AARP membership card at the Su Teatro box office, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m., or reserve tickets by calling 303-296-0219 and confirming your AARP membership.

The Arvada Center

Join the AARP Colorado staff, volunteers and other AARP members at the Arvada Center, 6901 Wadsworth Blvd. in Arvada for a production of Miracle on 34th Street at 2 p.m. on Dec. 15. Discounted tickets are available to AARP members at $45 for side prime seating, which is a savings of $22 off the regular ticket price. Tickets may be purchased online at www.arvadacenter.org/on-stage, by phone at 720-898-7200, or at the theater box office. Please use the AARP code: “3507” to get your discount. Seats at this price are limited.
