This checklist will help you choose the right facility to meet your needs and will make comparing the facilities a little easier. A few tips: This is a long-term major life decision. Try not to make the visits and decisions alone. Talk with family and friends. Learn as much as you can about assisted living and about each facility you are considering. If you are considering this for your parent, be certain your parent is involved in every step of the process.
