Christopher Baker is a Senior Strategic Policy Advisor with AARP's Public Policy Institute. He conducts policy research and analyzes market and regulatory developments that affect the ability of older persons to obtain and use essential products and services in the telecommunications, energy and information technology industries.
Chris represents AARP as a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the National Low Income Energy Consortium. He has also served on various consumer advisory panels and working groups for public interest organizations and government agencies, including the Federal Communications Commission and the Environmental Protection Agency. Prior to joining AARP, Chris worked for United States Senator Paul Sarbanes as a legislative aide on energy and telecommunications issues. He received his MA from the LBJ School of Public Affairs, University of Texas, Austin.
