Ari Houser, AARP

Ari Houser, MA

Ari Houser has been part of the AARP Public Policy Institute since 2004.  His work focuses on trends in demographics, disability, family caregiving, and the use of formal services.  He has been the lead researcher on the Across the States and Valuing the Invaluable series of publications on long-term services and supports and family caregiving.  In addition, he provides methodological and statistical assistance across the Public Policy Institute.

Prior to coming to AARP, Ari worked at the Rand Corporation, and he has taught courses in statistics and public policy.  He has undergraduate degrees from Swarthmore College, an M.A. from the University of Maryland, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Measurement, Statistics, and Evaluation at the University of Maryland, College Park.
