Countless kinds of toothpaste are on sale in drugstores, but you don't need to buy a pricey one to do well by your teeth. According to the American Dental Association, all that really matters is that you brush at least twice a day with a toothpaste that's ADA-accepted and contains fluoride. "Just pick the one you like or feel you can afford, whether it's paste or gel," says association consumer adviser Maria Lopez Howell.
