Health care and financial security aren't Republican or Democratic issues—they are American issues. We have the right to demand that candidates address these critical challenges our families face and, when elected, keep their campaign promises by finding bi-partisan solutions to America's health care and lifetime financial security problems.

We need Divided We Fail volunteers all across Nevada. And there are lots of ways to be involved as an AARP volunteer!
You've probably noticed that the Presidential Candidates are spending a lot of time in Nevada this year. It's because Nevada's January 19, 2008 Democratic and Republican Caucuses are second in the nation after Iowa. Our volunteers are attending Candidate events and rallies where the Candidates see our red Divided We Fail t-shirts and know we are there. They are asking the Candidates questions about their commitment to bi-partisan solutions to America's health care and lifetime financial security problems.
In July we'll be touring the state in our Divided We Fail van holding Conversations for Change sessions in several different Nevada communities. We need volunteers to help at these events.
We're also looking for volunteers that can help spread the word to civic groups, church groups and others in your community.
We want thousands of Nevadans to join the movement and become Divided We Fail voters. Volunteers will help gather these pledges. We want to encourage Nevadans to become "champions for change" by telling their personal stories about how they've been affected by health care challenges and financial security worries. We want volunteers gathering these stories from friends and neighbors throughout the state and encouraging people to tell their stories online.
We want to help all Nevadans understand how our caucus system works and the specific rules each political party will establish. We want all eligible Nevadans to feel comfortable participating in this important political process. Some of our volunteers will help with that voter outreach.
Don't let our children and grandchildren miss out on the American Dream. Become part of the movement, because Divided We Fail, but together we can do anything.
