Dr. Adam Gazzaley, M.D., Ph.D., is a board-certified neurologist and university professor who specializes in studying how brains handle memory, attention and aging. He established and now directs the Neuroscience Imaging Center, a research laboratory at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).
Also an associate professor of neurology, physiology and psychiatry at UCSF, he has written 50 scholarly articles and is widely quoted in the news media.
A New York City native, Gazzaley discovered his passion for studying the brain during his undergraduate studies. He later received his M.D. and PhD degrees in neuroscience through the NIH-sponsored Medical Scientist Training Program at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.
