This component enables authors to easily curate and display a dynamic list of content — including articles, videos, and other media types — within a single interface. It supports both manual selection and automated population based on taxonomy tags and the page’s publish date in the CMS. When taxonomy is consistently applied, newly published content is automatically added to the featured list.

Additionally, the component offers multiple layout options to suit different content strategies and visual styles. Currently supported layouts include:

  • Collection Layout

  • Tabbed Layout

  • Video Podcast Media Row

These flexible configurations allow teams to tailor the user experience while maintaining a consistent design across AARP pages.

Authoring Capability

  • Layout (Dropdown) - Allows an author to set the layouts that are currently being used:

    • Tabbed Layout

    • Collection Layout

    • Video Podcast Media Row

  • Building List Using (Dropdown) - Allows an author to select the type of list they wish to create. They can choose from:

    • Fixed List - A list of specific tile content

    • Tags - A list of articles powered by AARPs Taxonomy Tags

    • Search - A list created by search (Not used currently)

  • Configuring Manual Positions (Add Button) - Allows an author to decide where content should appear.

  • Configure Ads Positions (Add Button) - Allows an author to decided which tiles should be replaced with an ad.

  • ID -

  • Order By - Allows an author to decide the order in which the content loads. They can choose from:

    • Last published date (Default)

    • Title

    • Last Modified

  • Sort Order - Allows an author to decide the sort order in which the content loads. They can choose from:

    • Descending (Default)

    • Ascending

  • Max Item - Allows an author to set the maximum number of tiles.

  • Load more functionality for templates other than Channel Template - If additional rows are a requirement, you can add a load more button. This checkmark activates it.

  • Load More Text - The text for the load more button.

  • Featured List Group (Dropdown) - Not sure if these styles work

  • Show Category (Checkbox) - Allows an author to display the Category of the page they are pulling into the component.

  • Show Title (Checkbox) - Allows an author to display the Title of the page they are pulling into the component.

  • Title field Type/Size (Checkbox) - Allows an author to have the ability to set the H value for the title of the tiles. It defaults at P for paragraph.

  • Show Description (Checkbox) - Allows an author to display the Description of the page they are pulling into the component.

  • Show Image (Checkbox) - Allows an author to display the Image of the page they are pulling into the component.

  • Show Video Time (Checkbox) - Allows an author to display the Video’s time when a video detail’s page is pulled into the component.

  • Show Video Date (Checkbox) - Allows an author to display the Video’s date when a video detail’s page is pulled into the component. (Not used currently)

  • Show Podcast Time (Checkbox) - Allows an author to display the Podcast time when a podcast page is pulled into the component.

  • Show Podcast Date (Checkbox) - Allows an author to display the Podcast date when a podcast page is pulled into the component. (Not used currently)

  • Show Image Gallery Number (Checkbox) -

  • Is Series (Checkbox) - When a series page is being used, this is checked off.

  • Show Updated Date (Checkbox) - Allows an author to display the updated date of the page they are pulling into the component. (Not used currently)

  • Show Published Date (Checkbox) - Allows an author to display the published date of the page they are pulling into the component. (Not used currently)

  • Show Updated/Publish Date (Checkbox) - Allows an author to display the updated published date of the page they are pulling into the component. (Not used currently)

  • Enable Impression Tracking (Checkbox) - Allows an author to enable the impression tracking the page they are pulling into the component. (Not used currently)

  • Background Color (Dropdown) - Does not work with Reusable Foundation Template.

  • Whether featured list with structure settings in Channel Template (Dropdown) - This functionality doesn’t work won the feature
