Core Components vs. Custom Components

AEM Core Components and AARP Custom Components are the lego blocks of page content. Core Components offer standardized, out-of-the-box elements that simplify authoring, speed development, and reduce maintenance, while Custom Components such as 'Featured Tile V2' were custom-built by our devs to enable flexible layouts and richer features that did not come from Adobe's default library.

Atomic Design Philosophy

From a design perspective, the methodology of "Atoms" are the most basic UI components in a design system. They can’t be broken down further and form the foundation upon which more complex "Molecules" are built.
