Creating a New Page

When creating a new page in AEM, authors can select page templates which define the structure, initial content, and behavior for web pages. They act as blueprints that standardize content creation and management, allowing authors to dynamically build pages with pre-configured components and policies (rules for component settings). They enable efficient site building by predefining layout (structure), default content (initial content), and component configurations (policies), ensuring consistency across pages while empowering authors to manage them without developer intervention.

Reusable Templates vs. UXDIA Templates (Legacy)

Our new Reusable Templates leverage the new framework built on Core Components. Unlike legacy UXDIA templates, these newer page templates are not limited to a single use case. Instead, they provide a flexible foundation that draws from a library of core components and capabilities, enabling authors to address a wide range of needs and scenarios. This approach ensures consistency, scalability, and efficiency across all content creation workflows.
