AARP Experience Corps Tempe

AARP Experience Corps Tempe is hosted by the City of Tempe Community Services Department, Social Services Division. Adults age 50-plus work with students one-on-one or in small groups in first through third grade, improving literacy skills and self-confidence. Tutors are community members who have expressed an interest and willingness to make a difference in a child's life. They receive extensive training and on-site support during the school year.

The programs offered to Tempe residents are varied and include counseling, Care 7 crisis response services, youth prevention programs, adult diversion, Kid Zone after school enrichment program and two comprehensive neighborhood multigenerational centers.
