Social Innovation Fund Logo

AARP Foundation is a proud grantee of the Social Innovation Fund (SIF), a program of the Corporation for National and Community Service, the federal agency for volunteering and service programs. Through a competitive application process, two AARP Foundation initiatives were selected to receive investment in the areas of economic opportunity (BACK TO WORK 50+ Women’s Economic Stability Initiative) and youth development (Experience Corps).

BACK TO WORK 50+ WESI

BACK TO WORK 50+ Women's Economic Stability Initiative will help women age 50 and older find local jobs and build the financial capability to make sound decisions that reduce debt, rebuild savings and pave the way to greater financial security.

Through the support of the Social Innovation Fund, AARP Foundation Experience Corps is seeking to expand the Scaling Reading Success model (small-group sustained tutoring alone or small-group sustained tutoring with classroom literacy assistance) to organizations currently implementing volunteer-based tutoring models, as well as those organizations seeking to add the Scaling Reading Success model to other existing services they provide to schools in their communities.
