Sandra Ulsh, MBA, of Novi, Mich., was appointed to the AARP Foundation Board of Directors in 2010. Ms. Ulsh chairs the Audit Committee and serves on the Finance Committee for the AARP Foundation. As the audit chair of the AARP Foundation, Ulsh also serves on the AARP Institute Board of Trustees. She is currently president of Ulsh & Associates consulting for both not-for-profit and for-profit companies. Previously, Ulsh served as director of public policy and interim executive director of the Responsible Information Management Council for the Ponemon Institute. In 2007 Ulsh retired from the Ford Motor Company, where she served in various capacities in finance and corporate affairs. For five years, she served as president of the Ford Motor Company Fund (2001-2006) which is Ford Motor Company's corporate philanthropy program. Ulsh also served as executive director of the Global Public Policy Office at Ford from 1999 to 2001.
Ulsh has served as a board member for various not-for-profit organizations including the America's Promise Alliance, the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, Connect: Michigan, the Council of Michigan Foundations, the Dennis W. Archer Foundation, the Gettysburg Foundation and the Henry Ford Learning Institute.
