Reusable Article Template

About This Page Template

The Reusable Article template is a structured, flexible page design available to all authors. Unlike the Reusable Blank template, this option provides a predefined layout while still offering customization through reusable components.

Most of the template’s content is powered by the AARP CX Article Fragment Content, a content fragment that enables authors to easily add key elements to their article pages, including but not limited to:

  • Headline & Dek
  • Featured Article Image
  • Important Metadata
  • Author Byline
  • Body Text
  • Additional Credits
  • Published & Updated Dates
  • Up to three Callout Boxes
  • Up to 15 Body Images
  • Up to three Brightcove Videos
  • Up to five Pull Quotes

While the layout is more structured than the blank template, authors can still enhance the page by adding Experience Fragments to the bottom and right rail. The most significant improvement over legacy article templates is the ability to insert reusable components directly into the body, creating a richer, more engaging experience for readers.

Please note: the one-pager below outlines which components can live in each section of the article.
