We have expanded the availability of the Promo End Date field to additional value libraries, including Category, Actions, and Offers content fragments.

Previously, this capability was introduced for article content fragments, enabling teams to control when promotional content is no longer eligible to appear within Foundry-driven recommendations. This provided a way to manage time-sensitive messaging without requiring content to be unpublished.

With this latest enhancement, that same functionality is now extended across more content types. Teams can now apply Promo End Dates to a broader range of promotional assets, ensuring that time-bound campaigns automatically expire from recommendation surfaces when they are no longer relevant.

This approach delivers several key benefits:

  • Reduces manual effort by eliminating the need to unpublish or continuously monitor expiring content
  • Preserves SEO value by keeping content live and discoverable outside of recommendations
  • Improves user experience by ensuring recommendation surfaces remain timely, accurate, and relevant
  • Supports scalable campaign management across multiple content types and use cases

Overall, this enhancement provides greater flexibility and control over how promotional content is surfaced, helping teams maintain high-quality, up-to-date experiences for users while streamlining operational workflows.

Please note: This functionality is not yet in use.  Please direct your questions to Jill Kadish (jkadish@aarp.org) in regards to governance and usage.
