As part of our ongoing efforts to streamline the authoring experience and strengthen content governance, we are introducing updates to how article metadata is managed within AEM. These changes will help ensure that Content Fragments remain the single source of truth for article metadata and improve consistency across our digital experiences.
The following fields have been added to the Article Content Fragment models:
Following the upcoming sprint deployment, the corresponding fields currently available within the Article Template Page Properties will be removed.
Centralizing article metadata within Content Fragments provides a more efficient and consistent authoring experience while reducing the risk of content discrepancies.
We recently identified an issue affecting the synchronization of certain Content Fragment fields with Article Pages. This issue has been investigated and is scheduled to be resolved as part of the current sprint deployment.
The deployment is currently scheduled for July 14, although deployment timing may be adjusted if needed.
Once the deployment is complete, all updates to the following metadata fields should be made directly within the associated Content Fragment:
Authors should no longer use Article Template Page Properties to manage these values after the update is deployed.
Thank you for your continued partnership as we work to improve and simplify the AEM authoring experience. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Donovan Fox or the Product Enablement team.
