AARP Foundation closed the Housing Solutions Center on January 2, 2018. Now that the housing market has improved, AARP Foundation has shifted its focus to developing solutions that help low-income older adults age in place and have access to affordable, livable and healthy housing.

Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for a list of HUD-approved housing counseling agencies in your area. You can also find a housing counselor by calling HUD’s toll-free hotline at 800-569-4287.
