The AARP Smart DriverTM course helps drivers brush up on the rules of the road and explore new automobile technology. Plus, you can learn how to handle traffic circles, who has the right-of-way and how to help reduce driver distractions. The course is available online or in-person and is offered at no additional cost to plan holders of the AARP® Medicare Supplement Insurance from UnitedHealthcare. Plus, when you successfully complete the AARP Smart DriverTM course, you could be eligible for a discount on your auto insurance.*
So, which option works best for you? Learn more about taking the course online or in person:
Option 1: In person
You can pre-register to attend a class in your state. Classes typically take place at local community locations. The average class size is about 15 people. To participate at no additional cost, just show your AARP Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan identification card membership number** to the instructor.***
