Why Is My Mother Getting a Tattoo?

And other questions I wish I never had to ask.

Journalist Jancee Dunn is voraciously curious, as the best writers are. She was on the staff of Rolling Stone Magazine from 1989 to 2003 with 20 covers to her credit; she wrote a monthly sex advice column for GQ magazine for five years; and she writes an ethics column for O: The Oprah Magazine. She has already published a memoir entitled "But Enough About Me."

Plus she has a bunch of other talents; for instance, she was an MTV VJ (like a DJ, but with videos) when VJ's were really cool.

So what could she possibly do for an encore?

Well, when her mother announced at Thanksgiving dinner “I’m getting a tattoo," Dunn realized that her next book needed to be about family – her own, and everyone else's.

In her hilarious new book: "Why Is My Mother Getting a Tattoo? And Other Questions I Wish I Never Had to Ask," she address some of the many family-related questions she's been wrestling with in her 30s and 40s.

After you've listened to her discussion with Mike Cuthbert about her own adventures in family life, please share some of your own in the comments section below.
