Profile:
Marissa Bane Malta is a policy analyst in AARP’s Public Policy Institute. A member of the Financial Security team, she works on issues including Social Security, emergency savings, banking, and finance.
In her previous role as an analyst on AARP’s Global Thought Leadership team, Malta worked on a range of initiatives, coordinating projects and policy work and strengthening relationships, both internal and external. While serving in that position, she served as lead in AARP’s role as an active participant in the UN Global Compact. Inside AARP, Malta is the creator of the organization’s Millennial Employee Resource Group, where, as current chair, she leads work in linking the millennial and 50+ cohorts for the benefit of all in a multi-generational workforce.
Malta has a master’s degree in public policy from American University and two bachelor’s degrees—in economics and Arabic studies—from DePaul University.
