Cherri Thompson is senior administrative assistant in AARP’s Public Policy Institute, directly supporting the Consumer and State Affairs teams. Ms. Thompson performs primarily in an administrative and programming capacity, coordinating the team’s internal and external schedules and departmental events and publication launches, and works alongside the project administrator for strategic initiatives. She serves as the first point of contact for the Consumer and State Affairs and Economic staff and internal and external clients.

Prior to AARP, Ms. Thompson served at the Reznick Group, where she prepared monthly occupancy reports for HUD and assisted with the preparation of proposals, tax returns, and financial statements. She also worked at Nielsen Media Research, where she played a key role in the daily operations by organizing community outreach events to promote the Nielsen brand.In Her Words
