Brad Gudzinas advances livability initiatives such as the AARP Livability Index, providing data, quantitative analytics, and overall support to empower individuals and families to thrive in their homes and communities.
Prior to joining AARP in 2016, Brad leveraged emerging analytics technology in consulting roles at Deloitte and The Advisory Board Company, working with clients to translate research insights into strategic solutions.
Previously, while with the U.S. Department of Transportation, Brad managed data analysis and research in the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) travel monitoring and surveys team. He also served as deputy program manager for the $20 million National Household Travel Survey (NHTS).
Brad's accomplishments at FHWA include leading development of a national passenger travel demand model for policy analyses, the first of its kind. He also advanced innovative data collection techniques and initiated software development projects to improve data quality and reduce reporting burden for states.
In a prior role with the Philadelphia regional planning commission Brad specialized in data collection and travel demand forecasting to support infrastructure investments. He has also worked in the private sector on planning and operations analysis for several large-scale transportation projects worldwide.
Brad is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and has been accredited by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP). He is member of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) National Transportation Data Requirements and Programs committee. His education includes a Masters in City and Regional Studies and B.A. in urban studies, both from Rutgers University.
