Civilian Conservation Corps Museum

During the Great Depression, more than 20,000 men found work in the Black Hills of South Dakota with the Civilian Conservation Corps.

The legacy of their lives and work is now on display at a museum in Hill City.

Listen to meet a few corps members and to hear their incredible stories, including lying about their age to be able to earn money for their families.
