Some airlines have rules and regulations for travelers who can not fit in their seats without taking up space in adjoining seats.
Airlines that publish their policies on larger travelers include: United, Southwest, Alaska, Virgin America, and Continental, which may require you to buy a ticket in the roomier first class section.
