Flood Relief
A year after floods ravaged Tennessee, home and business owners who lost everything in the deluge still need help.
The storms killed at least 31 people in Tennessee, Mississippi and Kentucky and destroyed or damaged many homes, businesses and roads. Tennessee's Cumberland River flooded after 13 inches of rain fell on Nashville in two days.
Skilled volunteers are needed to repair plumbing, electrical wiring and drywall. Hands On Nashville is overseeing the work and can find churches to house and feed volunteers. The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee is collecting donations.
