Self-Filing Software

These services are provided through Free File Alliance, a nonprofit coalition that partners with the IRS to offer several tax software options.

Please review the information below to see if you are eligible to use one of these software options.

Option 1: TurboTax

Use TurboTax to file a free federal and state return if:

  • Your Adjusted Gross Income is $39,000 or less, OR
  • You are eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit, OR
  • You are an active duty member of the military with Adjusted Gross Income of $72,000 or less

Option 2: OnLine Taxes

Use OnLine Taxes to file a free federal and state return if:

  • Your Adjusted Gross Income is between $16,000 and $72,000, OR
  • You are an active duty member of the military with Adjusted Gross Income of $72,000 or less
