The House Bill Would Mean a Tax Hike for Millions of Seniors. Learn More

Don’t Get Left in the Dark

Those sky high summer electricity bills are just around the corner. Are you worried about keeping your lights on?

Low-income Texans may be eligible for LITE-UP TEXAS, a program that provides discounts on electric bills during the sweltering summer months. Eligible customers can get discounts for the billing months of May, June, July, August and September.

In most cases, electric customers who are currently receiving Medicaid or food stamps are automatically enrolled in the program, yet some qualified residents fall through the cracks. Texans who are not in one of those programs can still qualify for assistance if their annual household income does not exceed $13,538 for an individual or $18,213 for a couple.

If you think you may be eligible, call 1-866-454-8307 toll free. For more information visit LITE-UP TEXAS online.
