It’s not just the weather that heats up in June, so do the sales! If you are in the market for DIY home projects and some fun outings you can be grateful that it’s June!
Tools & Home Improvement Materials
In honor of Father’s Day, you will find rock bottom deals on just about everything in the world of tools. The deals may come by lower prices or a bonus gift with purchase. The next time you will see prices this low will be Black Friday. Home improvement stores will also offer deals on supplies for basic home improvement projects.
Take advantage of stores offering DIY classes. If you are giving tools for a Father’s Day gift, you can make your gift even more special by taking a class with dad and working on the project together. Most home improvement stores offer very good price adjustment policies, so if what you buy goes down in price within usually a 14-day period, they will give you the difference between what you paid and the lower price back. Also, ask about price matching policies which home improvement stores are known for.
As the rain stops, the painting begins! This is one of the busiest months for sales of exterior paint. Fortunately, it’s also a month you can find deals. If you aren’t ready to commit to painting but want to grab a deal, consider buying untinted paint. Ask the store if once you are ready to start the project, if they could tint and mix it then. Got a small area to paint? Buy a couple of the sample containers which run between 3-5 dollars.
Movie Theater Tickets:
One of my favorite memories as a kid was hitting the local movie theater, for a double matinee on a hot summer day. Back then it was a buck for two movies. Well, you can still find those deals today! Beginning in June, many kid’s movies will cost a dollar or less. Regal Cinemas begins their Summer Movie Express with $1 movies. Harkins Theatres offer 10 weeks of movies for under a buck with their Summer Movie Fun packages. CineMark offers 10 movies for $5 with an advance purchase or $1 the day of with Summer Movie Clubhouse.
Since 1937 June has been celebrated as National Diary Month as a way to help promote drinking milk. Over the years this has translated to grocery stores offering sales throughout the month on everything dairy. One perk is products like ice cream can be kept frozen for months, so stock-up for summer! In addition to store sales, look for coupons to save even more.
Half Yearly Sales
We are officially half way through the year. That means” Half Yearly Sales! Sporting goods stores have a lot of sales halfway through the year. Plus, check stores like Nordstrom for their annual sale
