Online shoppers will score a better deal by buying certain items on specific days of the week, reports ShopItToMe.com, a website that tracked some 1 million sale items from more than 100 of its online retail partners.
It found that the best Web-based sales are offered Wednesday through Friday, with discounts up to five percentage points lower than sales on other days. For the best savings, shop Mondays for dress slacks and sunglasses, Tuesdays for menswear, Wednesdays for shoes and boys' clothing, Thursdays for handbags and girls' clothing, Fridays for accessories (and, again, girls' clothing), Saturdays for intimate apparel and outerwear, and Sundays for swimsuits.
