The pros and cons of practicing 'extreme minimalism'

After leaving a lucrative career, Mike Roberts now owns fewer than 50 items, including two pairs of underwear and a blanket for sleeping — on the floor of the single room he shares with his teenage son.

But how little is too little? And is it fair to bring kids along for the ride (in Roberts' case, on a borrowed bike)? My Generation interviews an "extreme minimalist" for answers.
