Dim the screen on your TV to save money.

You can save on your electric bill by reducing the brightness on your high-definition TV. Many are shipped from the factory set at a "retail mode" of screen brightness that displays optimum picture clarity in a showroom. Go to your TV's setup menu and look for "home mode" or some other way to dial down the brightness. This reduces electricity consumption and can possibly save you $50 a year.
