National Association of Home Builders
A trade association for the home construction industry, the NAHB administers the Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) program and its website contains consumer-oriented homeownership and home remodeling information.
American Occupational Therapy Association
Although the AOTA is a professional association for occupational therapists, assistants and students, the website's "Patients and Clients" section contains information for consumers.
Better Living Design Institute
Homes in America are not currently designed and built to accommodate everyone in the household throughout their changing lives and life stages. With the boomer population in America continuing to grow and indicating a strong desire to stay in their homes, the need for more livable, age-friendlier home design becomes increasingly important. The Better Living Design Institute serves as a resource about home and product design innovation that supports healthy living and safe home environments for all.
