AARP Community Challenge Grantees

More than 300 projects have been funded since our "quick-action" grant program began in 2017

Here are the complete lists of the AARP Community Challenge "quick-action" grants that have been awarded thus far. You can review the lists by year or by state.

AARP Community Challenge

AARP Community Challenge quick-action grants can be used to support the following ready-to-go types of projects:

  • Permanent physical improvements in the community
  • Temporary demonstrations that lead to long-term change
  • New, innovative programming or services

Grant recipients were selected by an AARP panel of experts on aging, community development and livable communities. Projects were judged on the degree to which their goals make an immediate change that leads to longer-term impact.
