We all remember them, but can you find that awkward photo of you (or your child) on Santa’s lap? Think back — it probably went a little like this: There was that year when you were crying on Santa’s lap, and then for a few years you smiled when you realized all the presents he brought. Over time, you might have had a sibling, so there might be an early photo of one of you not quite ready for the picture — or pulling Santa’s beard. And at some point you probably felt you were too old for Santa, but your mother still wanted to capture the moment. That's when you sat there with a straight face. Sound familiar?
To get a jump on the holiday season, AARP is asking you to share an old photo with Santa. Simply email your nostalgic picture to ShareWithUs@aarp.org. Please include the name of the person in the picture, their city and state, what you may remember about the photo, and if you know the year it was taken. Your photo may appear in an upcoming feature on aarp.org.
