Mediation, relaxation and yoga may be good for your heart.

Meditation may decrease the risk of heart disease, but the key word to remember is “may.”

Research suggests there is a possible modest benefit from various types of “sitting meditation.”

Some types of yoga that researchers believe may be pluses are: samatha, vipassana (insight meditation), mindful meditation, Zen meditation (zazen), raja, loving kindness (metta), Transcendental Meditation and relaxation response.
