A new poll from the National Council on Aging finds older adults are unaware of many of the key features of the new health care reform law, particularly those aimed at the Medicare program.
That’s why AARP is working to make sure seniors have straightforward and reliable information to make the best decisions for their families. Whether you are on Medicare, buy insurance on your own or through your employer (or can’t afford health insurance) the changes to the health care system will affect you.
To help members and other older Pennsyvanians better understand the new health care law, AARP Pennsylvania is hosting a series of educational programs throughout the state. At each session, AARP experts will review the components of the law, and when they will begin. Session attendees will have opportunities to ask questions and learn ways the new law will impact existing health coverage.
Upcoming AARP Pennsylvania Health Education programs include:
- Aug 24 The Foundry Senior Center, Reynoldsville, 2pm & 6pm (2 sessions)
- Aug 25 Clearfield Masonic Lodge #314, Clearfield, 2pm & 5:30pm (2 sessions)
- Sept 27 Main Line Reform Temple, Wynnewood, 10am
